Description
PRL TV cabinet, RTV W-465/N-I/3.
Manufactured in Wyszkowska Fabryka Mebli i Urządzania Wnętrz in Wyszków.
This is what Alicja Matynia wrote about Wyszkowska Fabryka Mebli in Tygodnik Polski issued in Paris.
Wyszków furniture is extremely practical. It is composed of parts which can be assembled in many different ways as required. The factory has its own team of designers lead by engineer M. Pluciński who constantly introduces new construction ideas into the manufacturing process. Awards won at the Poznań fair have established the quality of the products and made Wyszków, which has not been renown for either furniture making or carpentry, famous. Everything can be learnt with a bit of practice! The changes occurring in Wyszków resemble a chain reaction. The factory was established. It needed infrastructure. Around 700 employees were needed. Local workers applied but they were unqualified so a vocational school has been set up which later became Basic Vocational School. Buildings to accommodate workshops, classrooms and halls of residence were built. Also a technical school of woodwork has been established. Having studied for 5 years the first graduates would leave school, qualifications in hands. Curiously, half of the students in vocational schools were women.
TV cabinet RTV W-465/N-I/3 fully revitalised. The old varnish coats have been fully removed. It has been covered with mahogany veneer, legs made of beech. Treated with Chinese natural and eco-friendly oil. The back of the cabinet is made of MDF.
