Chair from the Polish People’s Republic era, model 7556.
Manufactured in Starachowickie Zakłady Przemysłu Drzewnego in Radomsko in the 1960s/1970s. Fully revitalised.

During WWII Radomsko was under the German occupation within the General Government. First, the Germans have confiscated all the furniture stored in the Thonet  Mundus factory warehouses, then they commenced production for the benefit of the German army. Mazovia factory was shut down. Thonet  Mundus and Ksawery Wünsche i Spółka were active until the end of WWII. In 1945 both factories were nationalised and functioned as separate companies called Fabryka Mebli Giętych Nr 1 formerly known as Thonet Mundus and Fabryka Mebli Giętych Nr 2 formerly known as Ksawery Wünsche i Spółka. On 1st January 1951 the two factories merged into a company called Radomszczańskie Zakłady Przemysłu Drzewnego. In 1959 the factory?s name was changed to Zakłady Mebli Giętych Fameg.

Chair from the Polish People’s Republic era, model 7556.  Fully revitalised. It has been disassembled, the armchair has then been glued together again, treated with Chinese natural and eco-friendly oil Beech.  New upholstery, foam and seat. Original metal screws which have been polished.
